New Appointments at Ignition
Truro-based Ignition, a leading provider of vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, is welcoming four new members to its growing team.
The company, which offers finance for a wide range of assets from plant and machinery to vehicles and business equipment, has been featured as one of the region’s fasted growing companies in the Fast Growth 75 list for five consecutive years.
Tony Holton, who held a previous role at Ignition as Head of Broker, is returning to the company after 12 months with Close Brothers, where he has been working as Broker Development Manager covering the South West and Midlands. In his new role at Ignition as Sales Manager, Tony will be managing and supporting the sales team, focussing on new sectors and markets for the company, as well as strengthening and consolidating its existing sales channels.
Ele Smith, who joins as Business Development Manager, is already an active member of the business community in the South West region, having worked at Santander for 27 years, most recently as Director of Transactional Banking and Liquidity for Bristol, Devon and Cornwall. At Ignition, Ele will be supporting SMEs from a wide variety of sectors, helping Ignition to further consolidate its strong customer base across the South West region.
Also joining as Business Development Manager is Richard Bowley, who brings with him 27 years’ experience in the South West business community, including 11 years as Relationship Manager at Lloyds Banking Group where he was responsible for a portfolio of more than 200 SME clients across the region. In his new role, Richard will be looking to maximise new business opportunities, predominantly across Ignition’s heartland in Devon and Cornwall.
Finally, Ignition is welcoming Sadie Hargreaves, who will be supporting the sales team as Sales Administrator.
Paul Caunter, Managing Director at Ignition, comments:
“It’s fantastic to be boosting our skilled and committed team with these new recruits. Each of them brings them a strong track-record for delivering excellent solutions and forging lasting relationships with clients. With a strengthened team we will be increasing our presence in the business community, maximising opportunities, and consolidating our reputation for outstanding customer service.”
Ignition Sign Up to SME Finance Charter
At Ignition Credit, we are pleased to announce we have signed up to the SME Finance Charter.
Industry-leading asset finance companies have agreed to support a new SME Finance Charter between the industry, business organisations, and the government. The reason for this? To ensure that the SME finance market continues to function effectively, particularly throughout Brexit.
The SME Finance Charter is made up of 5 pledges:
- We’re open for business and ready to lend.
- We’ll help you prepare for Brexit and beyond.
- We’ll support your application and signpost other options if needed.
- We’ll treat you fairly at all times.
- We’ll work with the government-owned British Business Bank to support SMEs.
If you want to find out what these pledges mean and how they will or can affect your business, more information can be found here: https://www.ignitioncredit.co.uk/the-sme-finance-charter/
Top 10 for Ignition in Fast Growth 75
Ignition, the Truro-based provider of vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, is the 7th fastest growing company in the region, according to the annual Western Morning News Fast Growth 75 guide. The company has enjoyed a number of years of success and expansion and has featured on the list for six consecutive years, but this year placed in the top 10 for the very first time.
Compiled by accountancy firm KPMG, the list is the ‘who’s who’ for businesses in the Devon and Cornwall region that have grown and expanded, creating jobs and wealth. The Western Morning News comments: “The annual guide is a snapshot of the regional economy – it shows who is leading the way and the sectors that are reaping the rewards for all the investment they have put in to innovation, identifying new markets, people and infrastructure to build their businesses.”
Ignition’s Managing Director, Paul Caunter, comments:
“It’s fantastic to be featured on the Fast Growth 75 list for the sixth year running, and even better to have made the top ten this year. Historically, the list is very fluid with only 31 out of the 75 companies from last year listed again this year, so to have performed so well for six consecutive years is an outstanding achievement.
“Without doubt, our continued success comes from our highly-skilled and focussed team, who are committed to delivering great financial solutions and excellent customer service.”
